Located in the picturesque village of Havelock North, the modern and stylish Woolshed Apartments offer the perfect holiday and corporate accommodation in Havelock North, with all the convenience and comforts of home. Sunny Hawke’s Bay has an abundance of activities and locations on offer. New Zealand’s finest wineries, picturesque coastlines and the majestic Te Mata Peak are right on your doorstep, to experience and explore, whilst you enjoy your stay.

The 3 bedroom apartment is fully furnished with a modern kitchen, lounge and living area, laundry facilities and a private outdoor courtyard. Unlike a motel or hotel, you are completely independent, with a space to call your own during your stay.

Havelock North village is a few minutes walk away. It has a great selection of local food and fine dining on offer and guests can enjoy wandering around the local retail outlets and shop until their hearts content.

Upon arrival a welcome pack is provided with tea, coffee, milk, sugar, dishwasher tablets and toiletries. With the convenience of a supermarket in town, you can replenish these items and stock up for your stay.

The Woolshed Apartments cater for short-stay, one night, one month, or maybe longer. This may suit corporate travellers or families, who may require a longer term, or wish to look for a property to buy in the area. The Woolshed Apartments can also accommodate larger parties, such as weddings or sporting groups.

THINGS TO DO Havelock North and surrounds

There is plenty to see and experience in Havelock North and its surrounding areas. Whether you want to relax and enjoy fine food and award-winning wine, or if you fancy something a bit more adventurous,such as exploring one of the most picturesque places you can imagine, then there is plenty to do right on your doorstep.

Just 20 minutes away you’ll be amongst the famous Gimblett Gravels, Hawke’s Bays premiere wine-growing region. Stop in and taste some of the finest vintages on offer or sample some of the area’s local produce at one of the numerous award-winning winery restaurants. There are over 100 vineyards and 70 wineries to choose from, and if you don’t feel like driving, you can always hire a bike and explore on two wheels or high-flyers can get a birds-eye view from a helicopter tour.

For those who love the great outdoors and have a thirst for adventure, a bike ride or a hike scaling Te Mata Peak, might be more to your liking. The stunning views once you reach the top, are well worth the workout. Along the way you can explore the giant Redwood forest and take in the native bird life and unique plants.

Cycling is a great way to explore all of what Hawke’s Bay has to offer and with over 200km of easy to ride, flat and smooth tracks that cater for all fitness levels, you can easily enjoy exploring on two wheels. Hawke’s Bay boasts the largest network of cycle paths in the country, which are great to ride any time of year. Explore the cafes and wineries around Napier and Hastings whilst cycling the trails that run beside the Pacific Coast and alongside three major rivers.

For the kids – there are plenty of parks within walking distance from The Woolshed Apartments, to run around in and exert all of that energy. In the warmer months they will love the local family water fun park, ‘Splash Planet’, and for the animal lovers, Cape Kidnappers, with the worlds largest mainland Gannet colony, is a must see for the whole family. For the family that doesn’t mind going a bit further afield, a 25-minute drive away, the City of Napier’s promenade boasts a huge selection of activities, Mini-golf, a skate park, enclosed playground areas, BMX tracks and the National Aquarium of New Zealand, are all within walking distance of each other – so even the toughest crowd will be entertained.

Two golden sandy beaches are also just a short drive away. Ocean Beach and Waimarama are popular with both surfers and families and the underdeveloped and un-spoilt coastline is well worth a visit for those who love the water.

Twenty two kms away is the Art Deco city of Napier, which was rebuilt after the devastating 1931 Earthquake. The city is a preserved moment in time with its eye-catching buildings. Take a guided walking tour to learn all about this city’s history, explore the many unique and interesting shops, or the waterfront with its many activities on offer.
